Bing Is For Searching, Deciding And Shopping

Bing is a New Search and “Decision Engine”

Whether Bing succeeds competitively and gains ground on Google, or not, it Bing Travelis here.  Search results jumped 8 percent in the week it opened and Microsoft expects advertisers to add Bing to their budgets.

What are the advantages for us?  How can we use Bing in our searching, internet marketing and advertising?

First of all, become acquainted with the new search engine.  It is a simplified format.  Bing has 4 main categories of Shopping, Travel, Health, and Local.

When you want to look up a topic on the Bing.com main page - For instance, you can type in YOUR OWN NAME in the large blank and then click on magnifying glass.  And like “magic”.  There are your links – look at the bottom of the page for the pages and you can click to see more.  My friend Dotty Scott is on the first 4 pages of Bing.

I decided to go Shopping

I looked up “Kindle” the wireless reading device – Bing gave me some price comparisons of the major sellers of the Kindle, including Amazon, accessories to go with the device, and the “Bing cashback”  logo which tells that it is eligible for saving money and getting cash back from Bing when purchasing the product. It is clear, simple shopping, with a fast connection.

Just for curiosity I looked on the main page and put in the Bing “search box” the words for restaurants: Drive-in Diners and theaters.  These are the links that came up that I enjoy.  Drive-in diners and roller skates and Rosies DinerCanadian drive-in movie theaters … Results were fast and informative.

How can you take advantage of the opportunity to promote your business on Bing?

Bing may seem like other search engines, but it is another portal where people go and spend time actually looking for information and shopping.  You can expand your online internet marketing with Bing – it is accessed by more then 40 million unique users per month.  Bing is designed to be user-friendly and cost-effective to provide consumers a faster way to make informed choices.

The Bing audience is ready to shop.  If you have a product – such as E-commerce – look into Bing advertising.  You only pay when someone clicks on your ad.
